Collins Launches NEW StraightSELL Web site
Collins Industrial Distributors, an Adelaide-based distributor of industrial consumables and a long term member of the Industrial Supply Group announced the launch today of their new web site and ecommerce facility at www.collinsid.com.au
Great service and competitive prices has always been synonomous with the Collins Industrial Distributors name and now new and existing customers will be even better serviced via an online option.
Mr Ian Collins, Managing Director of Collins Industrial Distributors said that a few years ago he was one of the very first industrial distributors in Australia to provide ecommerce capability to his customer base. "Our customers expect excellent service and can be demanding at times but with our new web site we feel that we have an edge over our competitors in the market".
Customers will have 24/7 access to our complete product range through the web site which caters for request for quotes and online ordering. Account customers can register at the web site than be able to place orders when they want to at their own specific pricing and terms. Freight will also be automatically calculated per order and various Freight options offered added Mr Collins.
"Our product and pricing from key suppliers such as Bosch, Sutton Tools and Sidchrome Stanley will always be accurate as the web site will be automatically updated via an automated price manager application. It was extremely time-consuming to keep our pricing up to date in our first ecommerce web site as we can supply over 150,000 individual product lines but with the support of our suppliers and technology now available the process is now automated", said Mr Collins.
Orders received through the web site will then be automatically routed back into Collins Industrial Distributors Attache Business Partner accounting system which will significantly reduce the time to process orders and free-up staff time to do higher value tasks.
The software and accompanying services has been provided by leading Australian ecommerce software provider Strategic Ecommerce.
Mr Jamie Lakes, Senior Project Manager of Strategic Ecommerce applauded Ian Collins for embracing cutting-edge internet technologies such as the "StraightSELL" ecommerce web site builder, "CatalogueLINK" and "Integration Manager".
